Located in Middlesex County, New Jersey, this 29-year old converter cuts sheets of glass, plexiglass, plastic, and acrylic to size to suit homeowners and building renovation, rehab and remodeling construction companies. The finished product is typically used to provide frameless bathroom shower doors. They also cut and frame storefront windows and doors.
These two end uses represent their largest sources of revenue.
Additionally, they will measure, fabricate, and install residential and commercial windows of any size and shape and they are well known for cutting table top glass, mirrors for the walls, glass and mirrors for picture frames, etc., etc., anything to do with flat glass. They will typically go out to the site to measure, fabricate and install the finished product.
This is a family owned business started in 1996 with father and son and when father retired in 2010, the 2nd son joined in. Their business has grown organically without advertising since 2010 and they have a high reputation with a large base of remodeling contractors and repeat customers and have grown mostly by word of mouth.
They are located in a 6,000 s/f warehouse where they have considerable capacity to grow their existing business or add a showroom, and they have the equipment to cut and shape all sorts of floor and counter tile and/or the space to become a major wholesale glass and tile distributor. Ideally located in Central Jersey near major highways, this is a good business with the capacity to become a very significant business.
They operate with six people; one brother and a helper will go out to measure the job and do the installations and the other brother and three helpers will handle the material and cut or bevel the glass. The cutting process is very simple, and all are trained to cut or install.
The Sellers will only service those builders and homeowners who pay upon completion thus avoiding tract developers and the bulk of the commercial building market. Despite the self-imposed limitation, their business has continued to grow year after year. The Pandemic has not slowed them down; indeed, they now have a considerable backlog.
The Sellers are at the end of their careers and wish to return to their country of origin.
